Convention at Salt Lake City ~ June 22-29, 2014 

My sister Michelle was travelling from Malaysia so I decided to fly out to spend time with her. This is my first "non-real-job" related convention, so I have no idea what to expect. I went with no agenda in mind, just wanted to spend time with my sister and to get to know more of Young Living as a company. 

Day 1 - I signed in with over 9000 people, the Lake Palace Convention Centre, theme of this year's convention is "Live Your Dream!"

A welcome gala was set up with International theme, one of the highlights of this evening was the Ningxia Red shots! 

Day 2 - Bam, we sat through leadership sessions and this is not just motivational sessions... but lots of sound business sense and science.

Day 3,4 were packed with workshops with Debra Reybern, Dr. Scott Johnson, Dr. Cole Wooley, and many more speakers with lots of variety of workshops offered.
Train performed in one of the evening parties, and in between workshops we tried to sneak in to book stores and packed up valuable books to bring home with.

Day 5, we visited Young Living warehouse for a tour, then to Mona Farm where the first lavender seeds were planted. It was such an amazing experience.

Now that it's over and I am home, reflecting on the one week's packed of information, science, first hand experience of seeing, smelling, touching where essential oils come from... my heart is melted with so much respect & appreciation, overwhelmed with information over-load.

The process started with seed,  cultivate, distill, test then seal.  I had the honour of witnessing this process. It was the most beautiful sight!

During the convention, we had speakers like John C. Maxwell, William Davis (The author of the Wheat Belly), Daren Hardy (Publisher of Success Magazine), Connie Podesta to name a few. The speaker really who caught my attention was Gary Young (The founder of Young Living). 20 years ago, he took home from France some non-GMO lavender seeds in his cowboy boots. He sold his truck and bought two pressure cookers, welded them together to make his first distiller. And then all the rest are history!

Today, Young Living has 170 essential oils and over 550 products. Product reveal was fantastic! These new products are going to make an impact those who are coping with Autism, Alzheimer’s, and PTSD.
